Cherokee welcomes all area .22lr fans to our monthly modified silhouette matches!
The modified matches are held the fourth Saturday of the month, March-October. Range set up begins at 8am and matches start around 9am. All matches are open to the public! For specific dates, please see the club calendar.
Match Rules:
-Course of fire will be 40 shots, 10 shots at each bank of silhouettes. Pigs and rams are shot offhand, "NRA style," at 40 and 50 yards respectively. Chickens and turkeys will be shot from the bench, at 75 and 100 yards respectively.
-Shooters will have 10 minutes for sighters (no limit on the number of sighters) and their 10 shots for score. Once a shooter has committed to their 10 shots for score they cannot return to the sighters. The 10 shot for score must be shot consecutively.
-Targets must be struck in left to right order and the silhouette must fall over to be counted as a hit. Silhouettes knocked over out of order will be counted as misses.
-Any 22 rimfire rifle firing 22 short, long, or long rifle standard velocity ammunition is legal for these matches. Any sights are allowed.
-No slings or shooting coats. Eye and ear protection is required for all shooters and spectators.
Entry fee is $5.00 per match. Scores will be recorded for recognition of the yearly aggregate winners.
