A Girl And A Gun

Northeast TN Chapter

A Girl & A Gun Women’s Shooting League is a ladies-only organization established by women shooters for women pistol, rifle, and shotgun shooters. The league is designed to take beginners to whatever skill level they wish to achieve and provide experienced shooters with more opportunities. The objective of some is to improve their skill levels for self-defense and competitive shooting. Others also are interested in learning how to choose the right guns, gear, and accessories for long-term participation in the community.  The Northeast TN chapter facilitator is Stacy DeBord.  She will meet you where you are in your journey and help you to improve, advance, and grow your confidence and skills.

Recreation

It is important to come together in a recreational atmosphere and do some shooting just for the fun of it! It is one of the many reasons why people own guns. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment for you; for many it may ease the fear when going to the range. Our events provide an opportunity to meet other like-minded women who love to shoot!  We meet at least once monthly for Breakfast & Bullets range day, a monthly chapter meeting, and additional educational opportunities.

Competition

We are huge supporters of action shooting and competitive shooting sports. Static target practice is very important, but we believe that stepping out from behind the bench, learning to draw from a holster, shoot while moving, reload under stress and mentally work out a scenario are essential skill sets to have as a gun owner… not to mention just a whole lot of fun!  Cherokee Rod & Gun Club offers various competitive outlets for our members, regardless of skill level.

Community

We offer a judgment-free zone for women to come together, learn from each other, encourage each other, and share common interests. Whether it’s at our major events, local events, or through our Facebook groups, women are proud to be a part of our enthusiastic sisterhood.

Mission

To educate and encourage women about firearm usage, safety, and promote women’s shooting interest and participation in the competitive shooting sports.

Vision

To have membership throughout the country united for women’s shooting programs in education, local league events, regional and national competition in competitive action shooting sports.

Purpose

To create a positive environment that supports women shooters and generates opportunities for women and girls in the shooting sports.

Culture

To welcome all demographics of women to participate in our events, which are designed for all levels from recreational to competitive shooting. A Girl and A Gun Women’s Shooting League belongs to its members.

We encourage ladies to come check us out here at CRGC for a free meeting.  Breakfast & Bullets range days are reserved for AGAG members only.  Special clinics and events are sometimes open to the public.

Please visit www.agirlandagun.org for more information.  Our chapter link can be found there as well.  We are also on Facebook at “A Girl & A Gun Northeast Tennessee”.
