I know its still hot but fall is just around the corner. Its only 18 days until dove season. 

Tuesday 8/15

*Open practice on the hill. Skeet and Trap starts mid day and runs till mid afternoon

Friday 8/18

*Arts old Codgers will be shooting trap and skeet starting at 9a and running till lunch time

Saturday 8/19

*Cherokee will host the trophy shoot. Sign up starts at 9a and as soon as a squad is ready they can start shooting. A meal is provided (if all goes well, it will be brats, peppers and onions)

Sunday 8/20

*Our friends at Unaka will have their 5 stand open at 1p. If you haven’t taken advantage of Unaka’s 5 stand ….its a good shoot. It complements Cherokee’s very well.  I generally shoot a skeet choke if I only have one and if I shoot an O/U I will put an improved cyl in for my second shot. All of their targets are breakable but there are a couple challenging presentations. They invite the folks from Cherokee and charge member rates.
