From Larry Dark: Howdy

I wanted to thank everyone that showed up to help  unload targets last Friday. We had a huge turnout , and that goes to show what type of members we have here at Cherokee. We are lucky to have a body of members that will roll  up their sleeves and jump right in when something needs to be done.

In this last load of targets, we got some white targets to throw at night…..after the time changes im sure you will see some shoots scheduled under the lights for both trap and skeet.

Tuesday 10/12 Open practice on the hill. Ranges open by 3p

Friday 10/15 Arts old Codgers will be on the hill shooting trap and skeet. This has become a big shooting day (must be a lot of retired guys around) If your off on Friday come out and shoot some trap and skeet. Ranges open by 9:30a and they shoot till mid day.

Saturday 10/16 Cherokee will host the trophy shoot. A meal will be served. Sign up from 9a till 10:30a .  IF you are a newer shooter or if you haven’t started shooting the trophy shoots,  please don’t feel intimidated or uncomfortable shooting in our competitions. These are very low key shoots (mainly for bragging rights) We shoot trap and or skeet, two rounds of each. If you shoot both its 25.00 if you just shoot one , either trap or skeet its 15.00. There are classes so you will be shooting against others of your similar skill. Come on out for the fun and fellowship.

Range duty for this weekend Saturday 10/16 Trophy shoot (no one signed up) Sunday    10/17  David Humphrey

Hope to see everyone around the range

Stay Safe
