Grant Thompson and Randy Steed trained 30 people during February, March and April on the proper use of tourniquets, wound packing, direct pressure and other ways to stop the bleed. They also covered how to treat shock and other injuries. I’d like to thank them for taking the lead to teach the classes. They saw a need and took action.
To the 30 students: I would like to also thank you for taking the training. I’m glad to know there are more people out there that can help someone quickly when needed. We are the first responders, paid emergency crew are technically second responders no matter what you hear on the news. Use what Grant and Randy taught you, prepare your trauma kits and please keep them handy.
An update from Randy Steed: If anyone has questions regarding training or putting together a first aid kit you can contact me by email.
