From Larry Dark: Howdy
Shotgunning is alive and well at Cherokee. Even with cooler temps , shorter days and ammo availability we are still getting in a lot of rounds. We had an Ironman shoot last Friday. We had a good turnout and a lot of interest. We are looking at having these on some of the 5th Saturdays. If you would enjoy more shoots like this , let us know.
Congrats to George Reese Sr. he is, or at least was on Friday , THE BEST SHOTGUNNER at Cherokee Rod and Gun Club. He proved this by being High gun in the ironman. This means he shot all disciplines Trap, Skeet , Doubles Trap , and 5 stand for the highest overall score.
Joe is hosting a White Bird under the lights shoot on Friday. 50 singles , 25 Doubles targets, 50 handicap ( shot from the 23yd line) It will start at 6p , cost is 30.00. This should be a lot of fun and the white targets will hopefully look like hub caps.
Rodney is going to set up 5 stand Tuesday for some of the trap guys to practice . Apparently they enjoyed shooting five stand in the ironman shoot we had. He will have it open from 11a till 5p .
If you shot 5 stand last Saturday…..please inventory your gun safe. If you are missing something contact Rodney Meade with a description 423.677.3845I currently have the high bid at 350.00 if no one claims it..lol
