As I post this, our newest members are watching this orientation video at the club house.  Going by the date on the file I have, we’ve changed from the old safety walk through to the new safety orientation around May of 2018.  That means that every member who joined after that time has heard the exact same thing.  If you obtained your card prior to May 2018, do you know what the club is currently asking new members to do?  You can know by simply navigating to https://cherokeerodandgunclub.com/safetyorientation/  That URL is not linked in the menu on the club’s website yet, but it should be under information, safety orientation by the end of the day.

I would ask that all members spend 19 minutes and 19 seconds watching the video from the comfort of your own home or wherever you have the time to watch and listen to it.  This is new to us, we’re not sure the web site has the bandwidth to support it, but we didn’t want to put it on face book or you tube either.  If you have streaming issues, please let me know at https://cherokeerodandgunclub.com/ycpbriansims/  I know it works on PCs and android phones.

If a range safety officer has to quiz you on what you’re doing at the range, this is what the expected answers will be from – the video and the 2015 green rule book ( https://cherokeerodandgunclub.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Cherokee-Rule-Book-Rev-February-2015.pdf ), not what you remember being told 5, 10, 20 or more years ago.  This is the way it is now.
