Special Notice to all Club Members
Note from the President: An event board is placed at the entrance to the facility to let the members know what ranges are open that day to the general membership. When Special events necessitate the closing of a range, the members can know which ranges will be open to them. At least one rifle/pistol range will ALWAYS remain open for general use except in extremely rare cases.
All membership cards expire on Feb. 28th of each year. At that time new electronic locks are installed and old key cards will not work. Please make sure and pay your $80 dues* prior to Feb. 28th so you will not be inconvenienced. Please mail your Dues to:
Cherokee Rod and Gun Club
P.O. Box 954
Kingsport, TN 37662
New key cards will be available for pick up at monthly meetings after December or on the 2nd & 4th Sunday of each month (except major holidays). Special requests can be made (after the mandatory walk-through has been taken for new members) for the membership cards to be mailed. Ami can be contacted on the 2nd & 4th Sunday at the clubhouse 423-348-8004 or at 423-502-5649 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org for questions and requests.
Instructions for using the new gate
To Gain Entrance to the Facilities through the new automatic gate:
Insert your membership card arrow side up into the lower card reader. The card reader is on the left side of the entrance outside the facilities.
The gate will open and remain open for approximately 30 seconds. Remove your card and drive onto the club property.
Every entering vehicle will need to “card” the card reader to prevent the gate from closing on a vehicle. Each “carding” resets the 30 second open timer.
To exit the club property:
Drive slowly toward the gate (less than 5 mph). When you approach the gate within approximately 5 feet the gate will automatically open and remain open for 30 seconds. As soon as the gate opens you may proceed, remember that on club property the maximum speed is 15 mph. If you are behind a vehicle leaving the property proceed at less than 5 mph and the timer should reset to maintain the 30 second open cycle.
